when inquisition comes out da fandom be like
How i imagine keeping all the companions happy in DA:I will be like:
"Leave a “Amuse Me” in my ask, and I will write a funny drabble about my character trying to cheer your up.”
This … whatever it was that Isabela had set up was going well. As in terribly.
SQUEAK I guess I’ll go with a tiny little modernish AU
- shops for groceries
They go shopping together, where Merrill helps Carver expand his tastes beyond the safe and bland, and Carver can keep Merrill from looking at every single thing on the shelves and being talked into every sale.
- kills the spiders
Carver kills spiders when he sees them because they gross him out, though he justifies his feelings because he thinks he’s being protective. Merrill thinks it’s quite odd that a man his size is scared of the small variety of spiders. She keeps a spider fed in the garden.
- comes home drunk at 3am
Merrill has nights out with Isabela and Varric sometimes, when Carver works too late. While Carver trusts the others to get her a ride home, he sits and waits on the couch with his arms folded, ready to pick her up at the door and carry her the rest of the way to the bed.
- makes breakfast
Depending on their schedule, Carver prefers cooking an egg and steak type breakfast, and Merrill is happy with a bowl of fruit or oatmeal. Sometimes she reads about new smoothie recipes and quietly urges to Carver to try her new concoctions, though he grumbles and wrinkles his nose.
- remembers to feed the fish
Merrill named the fish, feeds them and talks to them, and Carver sometimes taps on the glass or mocks them, but he talks to them when he thinks no one is watching.
- decorates the apartment
Merrill takes charge of the apartment decorations, and though some of the decisions she makes offend Carver’s bachelor, tough-guy tastes, he sees and appreciates how much care she’s taken, especially in all the framed photos.
- initiates duets
Carver doesn’t sing — except when he thinks he’s alone and he’s doing the dishes. Merrill comes in from behind and joins in, but then is perplexed as to why Carver turns beet red and isn’t in the mood for singing anymore.
- falls asleep first
Despite his very best efforts, Carver falls asleep really fast. The only time Merrill falls asleep first is when they watch Carver’s favorite action movies on TV.
((Oh no I wrote something really fluffy! D: ))
“Oooh where are we going?” Merrill bounced eagerly in her seat as Carver pulled off the highway and turned down a dusty dirt road.
A flush of color entered Carver’s cheeks and he glanced over at the dark-haired girl beside him. “Some place special. You’ll see.”
Merrill beamed and folded her hands in her lap as she turned to gaze out of the window at the passing trees. “It’s very pretty out here, isn’t it?” she sighed, and he detected a hint of wistfulness in her tone.
“Not as pretty as you,” Carver blurted, cheeks flooding with a fresh wash of red. “Uh, I mean…” Why did he have to be such a fumble wit around her? Mentally kicking himself, he settled for clearing his throat and keeping his eyes on the road. No sense digging himself a deeper hole.
Merrill turned bright eyes on him and giggled. “I like you too, Carver.” A small hand patted his knee and he felt a foolish rush of giddiness.
A comfortable silence stretched between them, Carver carefully navigating the narrow twists of this half-forgotten roadway, Merrill staring dreamily at passing plants and birds.
So it’s 3AM and It’s just occurred to me that the most telling scene in the entire Harry Potter franchise is the scene following the announcement of the participants of the Triwizard tournament.
When Harry’s name is pulled out of the cup, literally…
Congrats u guys
I need this
yo this would be amazing for people with anxiety! It’s like a calming glitter jar, but you can keep it on you, on your phone. If you feel panic set it just watch it for a little while.
